What began as a small group around a restaurant table in the ’90s is now a burgeoning community and nonprofit.
Our mission is to build community and help writers improve their craft. We seek to create a more connected, supportive writing community in the Triad and beyond. We welcome writers of any genre
Open Mic Night at Coffee Park
and at any stage of their craft — from novices to published authors, poets, playwrights, and screenwriters.

Members can participate in critique groups and free workshops in January, get discounts on other workshops and contests, access networking opportunities, and list their publications in a special section of our newsletter. Nonmembers can submit to our contests, participate in open mics and some workshops, and receive our newsletter.
Since 2020, we have worked to offer most of our programs online, and we intend to continue that trend. Writers both inside and outside the Triad appreciate the convenience!
