Open Mic Nights​
We have three open mic nights for members and nonmembers to share their work with a live audience.

The Winston-Salem Writers Open Mic Night is held the first Tuesday of the month via Zoom. Find the Zoom link in the current month’s newsletter. Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m. with readings from 7-8:30 p.m. All genres are welcome.
You do not have to be a WSW member to participate. Members will read first, with nonmembers following. Readers have 5-7 minutes, including introductory remarks.

On Your Feet Open Mic Night is held at The Bookhouse (120-A Reynolda Village Way) on the second Thursday of each month. Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m with readings from 7-8:30 p.m. Readers each have up to 7 minutes to introduce and share their own original work. All genres are welcome. This free event is open to the public - bring your family and friends to cheer for you!

In addition to books, The Bookhouse offers coffee, tea, wine and comfy space. See you there!​
Our poetry open mic, The Word is Out!, is held the last Tuesday of each month as a hybrid meeting via Zoom, and in person at Augsburg Lutheran Church Meeting Room. Sponsored by the Forsyth County Public Library in partnership with Winston-Salem Writers, this event is free and open to the public.
